Wait. . . What. . . Where did Fall come from?

So I left for my little vacation last week to visit Nanook of the North.(or maybye it was just elisha is South Dakota) I expected to encounter wind driven snow walk around on crusty permarost and be stuck inside all weekend. In fact the mecrury hovered in the 60s and I walked around in a t-shirt. Here I land in Birmingham and begin my drive back and its like I was Dorothy landing in Oz. Sorry I couldn’t help it, after so many ha, you’re from Kansas, where is Toto, you’re not in Kansas anymore jokes, I couldn’t leave that softball hanging out there. Wham the color reaches out and smacks you in the eyes. . . technicolor. I had seem a few trees change but now everyhting was a different hue.
ok ok, so now I got you hooked by my spectuacular writing go click to see the rest of the post and the purty pictures

So, my first day back, guess what the A1 assignment is, go shoot some fall color, between 10:30AM and 11:45. At least I had a little time. I found a couple of likley spots where the harsh noon day light wouldn’t hurt too badly, and here’s what I came up with. While not beautiful they should work. By the way I read this link from the Captial Journal the other day while looking for this one about my little brother. Apparently the CJ and the GT are on the same page, telling people about the obvious, “Yo, winter follows fall, ya know in case you didn’t notice the whole month thing or the basketball starting thing, so yeah whatch out.” and in Gadsden “Howdy Ya’ll didja see the football and the leaves changin’ colors and the getting dark out early just so ya know it’s fall and here are some pictures of the leaves.”

Ok enough with the cynacism-time to look at pictures of trees taken by a photojournalist. . . you remember that job–tech support for the newsroom- video software teacher and nature photographer. I guess It’s all part of the Job.

I wish our trees looked like that instead of going from green to bare in one good cold windy day.
