It seemed like a good idea
So I signed up to bring some food a few months ago,(Poor Decision 1) and I got the reminder call early in the week. I promptly forgot about it. (Poor Decision 2) It came to be the night before I needed my two trays of breakfast food. I had a few options, namely I could go and buy a few baked goods and place them on a tray and call it good, I elected not to take the sane approach. I decided to go make a few things (PD 3). Now I have several recipes for breakfast goodies that I can make quickly from ingredients on hand and in remarkably little time. I decided to make a few complex things (PD 4) I decided to research the intratubes for some entirely new, made from scratch recipes. (PD 5) Because of the cascading series of poor decisions I had to stay up all night baking goodies. Not how I really planned on spending my Saturday night.
I was so tired but I survived- I had cooking to do!

Thanks my friend coffee, I think the secret to my baking sucess is the chicory. I know some people (like the people at my office) detest the chicory, but I enjoy thinking about sitting in Jackson Square with a café au lait
And the secret to lemon bars, lots of real lemon zest, 6 lemons worth for this batch, boy is my zester tired

The only good part was that my food was rather tasty, and it made for some funny pictures. and follow the links for the recipes. I really like this food blog as it has good pictures and good food.

new coffee maker? new zester? new parchment paper? where were all these gadgets when I was there?
New coffee maker is a miracle- it comes on when I tell it to and I don’t have to use the French press unless I want good coffee. I think I had the grater. And I bought the parchment paper because it works like magic.
what brand of coffee maker did you buy?
Mr. Coffee I think.
It’s like my little morning butler. the night before, excuse me Mr. Coffee I would like you to have my coffee ready at 6:07 AM.
Yes sir Mr. Wright.
And by all that I mean I plug in the time and load it up with coffee and water.
Buy a few baked goods and place on a tray? That was never an option for you, eh? Looks like it was well worth the effort. Who were the lucky souls who got to sample those wares?
