Morning
I had some early assignments the other day, so i got up and rode and had time left over and the weather was great. I sat out on my new porch with a cup of tea and a book and got a few chapters in before work. I should do that more often. It starts the day off so much better than the lazy lying in bed and the mad rush to down a bagel and oj while running out the door.

Goodyear Racing Eagles
Lensbaby fun at the race, I love the radio ad that play during the race call from Bridgestone that completely trashes Goodyear tires. It asks NASCAR if they would mind asking their driver’s if they would like to set some new track records and ya know go faster because Bridgestone did it in F1 and champ car last year.
I love snarky sarcastic advertising-but somehow I think the giant gobs of Goodyear cash involved in NASCAR won’t be going anywhere soon. Also, the blimp, the blimp adds a coolness factor that just can’t be topped.

Omnibus Talladega Post
Talladgea was fun, lots of loud noises and the usual rednecks, but I’ll take any excuse to get out of gadsden, even if the destitnation is Talladgea Superspeedway.

Some hot water
1/2 cucumber
1 med to smallish tomato
½ bunch Green Onions,
1 big bunch of Parsley
2 lemons
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

These were part of a series that Lisa Rogers and I did on the 25th anniversary of a pretty grusome murder that happened around Gadsden. We hit all of the landmarks in the case and I shot some actual film. I then processed and made prints and made up the comps and dirtied them up and scanned them. iT was a lot fo fun to spend time in the darkroom and inhale allof those wonderuflly noxious fumes.
