no knead bread
So good and so easy.
With wheat flour it is even better.
Still trying to figure out Sourdough
New Blog
While posts here have slowed a bit, I am still blogging.
As part of my duties at the Times I run a blog there- while not as interesting as this blog- it does get a bit more traffic- please feel free to stop by and check it out. http://breakingnews.blogs.gadsdentimes.com/

I was talking about the interview with Eric Wright, our online producer, and we compared notes. He actually might receive more e-mail than I do. Sometimes, he said, he’ll have as many as 30 or so on his Blackberry by the time he wakes up in the morning.
This email everywhere thing is nuts- good- but nuts I see why they call it a crackberry
The Beast from Cooter’s Pond Cyclocross Race
I had an OK race. I was doing well through the first lap, staying with the leaders, then I had a kudzu situation. On a narrow turn near a kudzu patch I overcooked a turn and slid the rear wheel through a few vines. I picked up enough kudzu to force me to strop for what seemed like forever to ntagle the kudzu. It had nocked my chain off and I had to spend a minute or two getting it fixed. As soon as I was rolling again I tried hard to chase back on to little avail. I passed a bunch of folks, but never got back to the leaders.
While I was chasing I made some stupid mistakes I went over on a simple turn because I just tied to take t too fast and let the bike get away from me.
I am still having nightmares about the sand pit as well. I only made it through twice. I just couldn’t carry enough momentum or keep my front end straight…. I guess I need practice- and there is always next time. Caroland Carmine and I all road down to Prattville together- Carol shot a bunch of photos so without any further ado-
