the Print Sale

The print sale is done-ish( still a few more after the fact orders to polish off) I’d characterize it as a resounding success. Other than a few patrons frustrated/concerned/confused about the whole- once its gone its gone thing it was perfect.

Guest food blog post over at ‘Cantaloupe Pie’

The first of my product testers has come back with a review of McCormick Recipe Inspirations. Eric T. Wright is an award-winning photojournalist who now serves as the online producer for The Gadsden Times and gadsdentimes.com. He also is an accomplished cook — actually, “cook” seems a little pedestrian for his considerable skills.

I was glad he decided to take part in reviewing the product, because I knew he would have high standards. Here is his take on the recipe he chose:

Red Cross Heroes Print Sale

Red Cross Heroes Print Sale, originally uploaded by erictwright.

I know this is way late to hit the blog- but here it is anyway.

Hey everyone-
I’ve been asked to be a hero as part of the Etowah County Red Cross Heroes campaign. All heroes are asked to raise $1000 each for the local Red Cross. Instead of just asking you for money, I’m holding a benefit print sale. I’m selling limited edition matted prints of 15 images in 8×10 and 11×14 sizes.

I would appreciate your support in this project. There will be a photographic print sale and reception on March 26 from 6-9 p.m. in the Lena Martin Room of the Gadsden Public Library. I’m offering pre-orders of the prints, which you can see at www.erictwright.com/redcrossheroes.

All proceeds of the sale will benefit the Etowah County Chapter of the Red Cross and the dollars stay IN Etowah County helping people when they need it.

The anchor

The anchor makes it to the top of the hill, so i grabbed a shot as he went past. I had to chase hard to catch him on the descent. While not a spindly climber he makes up for it on the flats and descents.

St. Patty’s day tie.

While I had a tie on Friday and Sunday I forgot to get pix.
Today I grabbed the green tie because it was St. Patrick’s day- but I kept a little orange too because you can’t let the Catholics have all the fun.

Ed: I’ve been alerted that I may have a case of the ‘crazy eyes’ This is a definite possibility. I’m not sure if they are contagious or not, so if you have any tasks you need me to do, you might want to steer clear.
